The project supports trade union activists to defend women's rights in the labour movement while strengthening their leadership in collective bargaining and social dialogue.
We facilitate supportive spaces where activists share their learning, challenges and experiment with feminist education and organising methodologies.
Consequently, trade union activists participating in the various workshops have more confidence, authority and power to create cultures of gender equality in the trade union and workplace.
The activists we're engaging with are taking up a range of individual and collective actions. They are initiating campaigns to address gender-based violence, improve maternity protection in the workplace, ensure decent work for vulnerable workers and defend the rights of LGBTI workers. They are also experimenting with more innovative organising strategies.
Young women are a core target group, and we work hard to attract them to participate in project activities in order to start a conversation with the next generation.
